Prof. Sinha is a visionary and the guiding force behind L2M Rail. During his long-lasting tenure at IISc as a Scientist and faculty, he worked on several research and development projects sponsored by governmental agencies such as DIT, Indian Railways, National Tuberculosis Institute, DRDO and BHEL. His main areas of interest are Power Electronics, Fault-tolerant and Safety-Critical Systems, and Embedded Systems.
A serial entrepreneur and railway domain expert, Sreenivasa Rao Ganapa, has many feathers on his cap. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Rao worked in various capacities with the Indian Railways. He was the Joint Director & Head of the Southern Region Signalling & Communications Division of RDSO, Indian Railways.
Rakesh Pandey is a highly experienced Railway Signalling & Telecom Consulting Engineer with more than 36+ years of experience in Construction, Design & Development, Maintenance and Engineering Management of railway projects. He is a Chartered Engineer from the Engineering Council, UK; Member of Institution of Railway Signal Engineers, UK and Institution of Engineering and Technology, UK.
Recipient of Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in the Republic of India, Professor B. Dattaguru is our Honorary Advisor. He is also a recipient of many prestigious national and international awards. He is a world renowned expert in the domains of smart materials, structures and systems and Fracture Mechanics. During his time at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Dr. Dattaguru worked with the Space Technology researchers, including the former President of India, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Kota Harinarayana, Kasturi Rangan and R. Chidambaram. His fields of interest include theory of Elasticity, Aircraft Structures, Aging structures, Life extension methods, Fracture Mechanics, Finite Element Methods (linear and non-linear), Composites, Smart structures, Aircraft and Missile Design, Experimental Stress Analysis and Non-destructive Testing.

He has got the experience of working in multiple industrial sectors, particularly oil & gas, wind energy and aerospace. His career defining moment was building an amazing UK sensing technology company (Smart Fibres Ltd.) and selling it to a huge US headquartered multi-national.
Prof. Vinoy is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Communication Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has received his Doctorate degree from the Pennsylvania State University, USA in 2002. Prior to joining IISc, he worked as a Researcher at the Pennsylvania State University and as a Scientist at the National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore. His research interests cover several topics in RF and microwave engineering including, computational electromagnetics, microwave antennas, RF circuits, RF MEMS, and metamaterials.
Prof. Umanand is a Professor in the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. His research activities are based on the broad scope of “reduction in rate of entropy rise”. In keeping with the above framework, his research work revolves around power and energy systems with an emphasis on societal benefits. Some of his significant Research work are Solar Cooking, Modelling Non Linear Electromagnetic Waves, Photovoltaics Integrated MicroGrid, Integrated Magnetics, Ballast Free Microhydel and Rimless wheel walker.
Prof. Prabhakar is a Principal Research Scientist with the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He works in the area of Networked Embedded Systems where he focuses on hardware system design, micro energy harvesting systems and power management algorithms. Prof. Prabhakar leads the effort in Zero Energy Networks Laboratory (Zenlab) at DESE, IISc, which implemented Publish-Subscribe and REST architecture protocols and adapted embedded IPv6 flavors such as 6LowPAN. A significant work in embedded space is at the MAC layer, layer 3 and other protocols.
Haresh is a Principal Research Scientist with the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He areas of specialization are Communication Networks and Embedded Systems. He is mainly interested in developing IoT solutions for Healthcare and Smart Grid applications. His research interests include security and reliability issues in Cyber Physical Systems and enterprise networks. He has the rich experience of working in various industry and government sponsored projects. Haresh has received his B.E. degree in Electronics from Bombay University in 1993 and M.Sc. (Engg) in 2001 from Indian Institute Science, Bangalore.
Gunjan Singhania is the Director of Sumcon Infraventures LLP, have been accredited with an ISO 9001-2008 Certificate for design and execution of railway construction, rehabilitation and engineering project, that works Pan India and specialized in EPC, P. Way Linking and Laying, S&T, OHE, All types of Civil & Mechanical works, construction of Roads / Highways, Construction of Bridge/Flyovers, PQC Road, Execution of Earthworks.
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur & did MBA from IIM Lucknow. Initially worked in Tata Steel for 4 years in Tata Steel & then as Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers under Ministry of Railways. Worked in Indian Railways for 37 years in different capacities and at different places: Chittaranjan Locomotive Works manufacturing Electric Locomotives, Railway Divisions responsible for train operations, workshops for maintenance of coaches & wagons, RDSOresponsible for design, standardization, testing of rolling stocks for Indian Railways, RITES for export of LHB coaches to Bangladesh Railway. Thus I have experience in manufacturing, designing, maintenance, project management, and also dealing with foreign clients.
Dhanaseelan has more than 30 years of versatile experience in the software and hardware product development in the fields of IoT, Industrial Automation and Networking. An entrepreneur himself, Dhanaseelan has co-founded multiple companies in the areas of IoT and renewable energy. In his previous assignments, he has led global teams to record breaking performances. He has also trained many industry verticals in the area of IoT. His current areas of interest are AI /ML, IoT, security and training.
A BITS Pilani graduate and former Group A officer of Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers, Ministry of Railways, Govt of India of UPSC – ESE 2013 Batch. welve years of industrial, techno-managerial, administrative and leadership experience in the sectors of railways, oil & gas and automobile. Managed several portfolios & projects related to product development, technology, strategy, business, operation & maintenance, production, rolling stock & locomotive, contracts, procurement and material management, planning & budgeting, passenger complaints resolution as well as quality assurance.
Started career as Software Trainee engineer later got into Railway Signaling design with the interest to work on the core Electrical and Electronics company. Worked for Railway Signaling design, Railway Communication design and all Railway interlockings right from Electro Mechanical to present latest Technology to different Railways around the World.
Mr. Krishna Choudhary is an alumnus of Calcutta University with an MBA in Project Management. He has overall 20 years of working experience, out of which 16 years is with Railway Industry. He has the experience of executing the Railway/ Metro Railway Projects while working in domestic and MNC Consultancy firms.
Sneha is currently working as Scientist-A in L2M Rail. She has completed her Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Sai Vidya Institute of Technology. She has completed her internship in L2M Rail. Sneha has presented a paper titled “ Power Coupling ad Modal Analysis of SPR based Gap Waveguides for Optical Sensing Applications” in IEEE SENSORS 2019 CONFERENCE, in Montreal, Canada. Her academic project was on Modelling and simulation of Distributed Feedback Lasers for Sensing Applications.
